Recruitment Policy

We handle personal information obtained from applicants during the recruitment activities in compliance with the laws and regulations concerning personal information.

Handling personal information in recruitment activities

AXA General Insurance Co. Ltd. (hereinafter “we/us”) appropriately and strictly controls and manages the personal information obtained through a proper method for recruitment activities according to the following outline.

1. The purpose of use of personal information in recruitment activities

We use personal information, including name, date of birth, address, and phone number, that allows us to identify recruitment candidates (hereinafter “personal information in recruitment activities”) for the limited purpose of our recruitment activities and appropriate employment management after hiring as well as statistical investigation and analysis regarding recruitment.

2. Collection of personal information in recruitment activities

We collect personal information in recruitment activities through the method of having it sent/transmitted by the applicants who have interests in working with us, the method of lawfully obtaining it from list brokers and recruitment information suppliers, and other appropriate methods.

3. Handling of personal information in recruitment activities

We manage personal information in recruitment activities appropriately on our own responsibility and do not disclose it to third parties except for the following cases.

  • In addition to the situations in accordance with various laws and regulations, when providing personal information to third parties without the consent of recruitment candidates is permitted by the Personal Information Protection Law.
  • When a part of the business operations is outsourced to subcontracting companies in and outside Japan within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use. However, we provide necessary and appropriate supervision so that security control measures are taken at the subcontracting companies.

4. Shared use of personal information in recruitment activities

AXA Japan Group may refer candidates to other entities of AXA Japan Group after assessing the aptitude of the candidates in the recruitment selection. Therefore, we may share the personal information in recruitment activities as follows.

  • AXA General Insurance Co. Ltd.
  • AXA Life Insurance Co., Ltd.
  • AXA Direct Life Insurance Co., Ltd.

② The purpose of shared use

Shared users’ recruitment activities and appropriate employment management after hiring as well as statistical investigations and analyses regarding recruitment.

③ Items of personal data to be shared

Personal information collected by shared users in recruitment activities (including name, date of birth, address, phone number, e-mail address, educational/occupational background, qualifications, and other personal information collected through written documents, web pages, e-mails, telephones, and conversations, etc., and personal data collected through reference checks for recruitment selection).

5. Disclosure, correction, and deletion of personal information in recruitment activities

When a recruitment candidate requests us to “disclose his/her personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Law, we will respond to it to a reasonable extent.
